Abstract
The authors study the case of the Chilean King Crab in an effort to understand illegal fishing in small-scale fisheries. The authors acknowledge it is an unrelenting problem world wide with complex causes and solutions. Through this case study they seek to identify what are potential drivers for illegal fishing and why it persists.
