FFA Regional Monitoring Control and Surveillance Strategy (RMCSS)2024 -2029

This Strategy focuses on MCS arrangements for offshore tuna fisheries and associated species within the Pacific Islands region, encompassing the EEZs of FFA members and the high seas under the WCPFC Convention Area. While prioritizing commercial tuna fisheries, the Strategy recognizes the broader utility of robust MCS frameworks in mitigating risks of IUU fishing, including unlicensed activities targeting demersal species.
